When area rugs sustain water damage, assessing the severity is the first step in cleaning or restoring. Methods for cleaning water damaged area rugs change due to the exposure. Water from most occurences in the house envovling sinks or appliances are easily reversable and known as gray water exposure. When toilets back up or sewage becomes present it is refered to as black water ,this makes the cleaning becomes more involved. Biocide applications must be used when dealing with black water exposure. After the excess water has been extracted and any sanitizing methods have been implemented drying can begin. Any area rug we recieve that has gone through a water damage cleaning process will then be hung to dry in our heated low pressure drying room. The rug is then inspected to ensure customer satisfaction.
